Tofu is good for you (and them)

Our Cauldron Tofu is packed with loads of the good stuff you want your kids to eat, and to enjoy eating. It’s high in protein. Tick. High in calcium. Tick. And our Authentic Tofu is also a source of fibre. Tick. There’s also something extra good about tofu - it’s just so versatile. There are so many ways to make it tremendously tasty, you’ll find something for everyone from toddlers to teens (and all ages above and in between).

Classic family dinner recipes with a tofu twist

Let’s face it, many children go through a fussy phase at some time or another. If your kids aren’t keen on trying something new, we’ve a few ideas for tofu recipes for your picky eaters. These are all takes on classic recipes, just created with tofu.

Pasta’s often popular with younger ones. Our Courgette & Tofu version is rich and creamy (yet totally vegan). Because it’s made with Cauldron Marinated Tofu Pieces there’s no pressing, marinating or chopping, just delicious pasta ready in 20 minutes or so. (It’s even got some extra veg hidden in there too - just don’t tell the kids!) Or how about Tofu Pesto Lasagne? Make it veggie or vegan, it’s layered with flavour either way! An easy family friendly tofu dinner everyone will love.

If burgers are your family’s bag, there are plenty of tofu takes. It’s easy to adapt this Pulled Tofu BBQ Burger to suit everyone’s tastes. You can even make it vegan with a few quick switcheroos. Or if you like a little spice, our Crispy Indian Tofu Burger is super easy to prepare, making it quick enough for a midweek meal. Both are made with our Extra Firm Tofu, which means you don’t need to press it beforehand.

When you’re looking for easy tofu recipes for dinner, one pot wonders can be wonderful (and save arguments about piles of washing up later.) This Sweet & Sour Tofu has all the classic takeaway flavours and our easy Hoisin Tofu Noodles can be whipped up in under 15 minutes. Or why not make it curry night with our Golden Coconut & Vegan Tofu Curry? The coconut milk makes it lusciously creamy, broccoli means you get a healthy helping of greens in there too, and you can ease up or go wild with the chilli depending on your family’s tastes. Raring for ramen? Then this Curried Tofu Ramen can be a great way to introduce tofu to your family dinner plates.
