Pulled Tofu BBQ Burger
A cheeky weeknight winner. This Pulled Tofu BBQ Burger mixes a simple BBQ sauce, tasty slaw, and spiced and shredded tofu. Yee ha.
Cauldron Extra Firm Tofu is grated and spiced to make the BEST pulled tofu burger – this simple dinner switcheroo is heaven on a plate. It's easy to make this dish fully vegan with just a few simple ingredient swaps too!

Ingredients:
For the burger
1 x 220g pack Cauldron Extra Firm Tofu
2 brioche burger buns
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp onion granules
¼ garlic granules
Salt and pepper to taste
For the BBQ sauce
60ml tomato puree
1tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tbsp brown sugar
60ml water
½ tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
For the slaw
5 radishes
½ carrot, grated
40g cabbage, thinly sliced
1 spring onion, thinly sliced
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste

Swap Worcestershire sauce and mayonnaise for vegan versions to make the recipe vegan.
Method:
Preheat the oven to 170˚
Grate your Cauldron Extra Firm Tofu and mix with 1 tsp paprika, ½ tsp onion powder, ¼ garlic powder, salt and pepper. Bake for 20 mins, stirring halfway through.
Meanwhile make the BBQ sauce. Add all the BBQ sauce ingredients, heat slowly until the sugar dissolves then raise the heat and simmer for 10 mins until thick and sticky.
Add all the slaw ingredients to a bowl and mix well.
Take your crispy, pulled, baked tofu out of the oven and mix with the BBQ sauce.
Toast your burger bun in a pan, layer on the slaw and pulled tofu and enjoy!
