Picnic season is upon us!

Finally, the good weather is back, the smell of suncream is everywhere, and it’s acceptable to eat snacky lunches/dinners in the garden. But hey, we’re not complaining!

Our only grudge against picnics is the abundance of non-reusable plastics to hold all of the tasty snacks BUT, that can change. If you whip up the food yourself and buy wooden, bamboo, or reusable containers and boards to pop them on, picnics can become more sustainable, and waste can be reduced.

Piecing together an entirely vegan picnic feast

Picnics are a great opportunity to bring friends and family together and enjoy some delicious, light, and fresh food outdoors. We’ve been busy getting more adventurous with our picnic platters, breaking tradition, re-inventing al fresco classics, and putting together an entire board of plant-based goodness that can be enjoyed from the comforts of a blanket.

Not so long ago, it was hard to find good vegan snacks to take along with you. Sure, the obvious fruits and veggies are great additions to the platter, but sometimes you want something tasty, wrapped in crumb or pastry, stuffed in a sandwich, or on a skewer and, we don’t blame you!
