At the start of this year, we were incredibly proud to announce that our full range of products are now certified Carbon Neutral. To carry on the planet-based party, we are looking for our first-ever Cauldron Community Champion. Designed to applaud the great work happening all over Britain to support the environment, the competition is launched in partnership with multi-award-winning plant-based and sustainable chef and author, Max La Manna .

What is the Cauldron Community Champion competition?

Cauldron Community Champion is an initiative that celebrates the inspiring grassroots environmental projects in Great Britain, driven by members of local communities who are striving for positive action for the planet. We are calling on you to enter or nominate a community project, to be judged by Max La Manna and Tom Lindley, Head of Cauldron Foods. Together they will select three finalists, who will each receive £1000 of funding for their project.

The overall winner will be entirely down to the general public to decide, they just have to show their support by ‘liking’ the project they are most inspired by on our Cauldron Foods Instagram feed. The project with the most likes by the closing date will be crowned the Cauldron Community Champion and receive a further £1000 of funding and a visit to their project from Max La Manna and the Cauldron Foods team.

Why are we doing this?

As fans of our Cauldron products will know, plant-based foods have always been better for the planet and we make it our mission to minimise any impact we have on our environment. We’re proud to have launched 100% carbon neutral certification across our full range of products, and we intend to keep doing as much as we can to be plant and planet-based.

That’s why we are using the Cauldron Community Champion competition to encourage people to tell us what they are doing to support the environment and so we can shine a positive spotlight on all the great work that is often going on behind the scenes from passionate people who care about our planet. It will help raise awareness of their projects and inspire more people to get involved and do their bit for the environment too.

How do you enter?

Is your community project helping save our planet? Does it contribute to carbon reduction, the preservation of our resources, or perhaps rewilding, rebuilding habitats or reducing food waste?

Entrants must upload an Instagram grid post on their own Instagram channel, using maximum of 100 words to detail why their community-based environmental project should receive funding. The community project must focus on helping the environment and be based in Great Britain.

Posts should include a caption of maximum 100 words and supporting imagery, detailing the project and its location, and include the hashtag #CauldronCommunityChampion and tag @CauldronFoods. The three finalists will receive £1000 worth of funding each. The overall winning project will be crowned our Cauldron Community Champion and receive a further £1,000 worth of funding.

If you would like to enter, don’t forget to check out our Ts and Cs for more information.
