Sesame Tofu Snacks

 

Bite-size snacks with lime and chilli.

Serves: 6

Cooking: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Cocktail sticks, soaked in water for 30 mins
  • 250g pkt Cauldron Organic or Plain Tofu, drained and cubed
  • 2-3 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 4-5 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 carrot, peeled and/or 1 courgette
  • Tiny lime wedges
  • Extra sweet chilli sauce for dipping, optional

Method

  1. Preheat the grill and line the grill rack with tin-foil. Put the sweet chilli sauce in a bowl and the sesame seeds on a plate.
  2. Spear each tofu cube with a cocktail stick and dip them into the chilli sauce, allowing any excess to drip back into the bowl. Roll in the sesame seeds until coated.
  3. Using a zester remove long thin strips from the vegetables and arrange on a plate in small heaps.
  4. Grill the tofu for 2 minutes, or until heated through. Turn frequently during cooking. Arrange on top of vegetable strips, removing sticks if preferred.
  5. To serve:
    Garnish with tiny lime wedges and extra sweet chilli sauce for dipping.
