Simon Rimmer Leek, Cheddar and Rosemary Crisp Bake

The new Simon Rimmer ‘Leek, Cheddar and Rosemary Crisp bakes’ are a result of us experimenting with Mediterranean flavours.

The rosemary adds a nice fresh twist to a hearty, ‘comfort food’ dish.

Great crispy coating, great texture BUT too much rosemary for me.
Even so, I’d probably buy them again.

THESE WERE REALLY LOVELY AND I WOULD EAT THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN ! THEY WERE REALLY CRISPY AND I HAD THEM WITH A MIXED SALAD WHICH SEEMED TO COMPLIMENT WELL

THE ONLY TROUBLE IS NO-WHERE STOCKS THEM, I BOUGHT THEM IN SAINSBURY GLOUCESTER, BUT NONE OF MY LOCAL STORES INC MORRISONS, WAITROSE, SOMERFIELD, CO-OP OR EVEN MY LOCAL SAINSBURY ON LINE!

  3. Sally from Horsham says:

My Son and I had the Crispbakes with a mixed salad and new pots and we loved them, especially the lovely Rosemary herb taste. Great natural ingredients, loved the inclusion of chick peas and bulgar wheat, delicious. It says Limited Edition, I hope this doesn’t mean that they are going to disappear!

  4. Scott says:

I agree with Lorraine! They are really lovely. I can only get them in Sainsbury’s too.
It would be great if they were available in other places!

  5. Joy says:

I have experienced the same problem. I purchased Chickpea & Spinach Balti from Sainsbury’s Loughborough some months ago but couldn’t find it anywhere else. I was told it was discontinued but I went to Sainsbury’s Loughborough again 04/10/08 and magically there it was Chickpea & Spinach Balti I bought the only two on the shelf. If you haven’t tried it I would certainly recommend you do it is delicious
